Is it sad this made me tear a little?

Maybe it's just hormones. But this is the.best.wedding.entrance...... ever. What a fun couple. I would like to see what their cake looked like (or, the grooms cake!)

Even the pastor was dancing... too funny!!!! Enjoy, courtesy of YouTube :)

Books, Books, and More Book Cookies!

The Bonner Springs, KS city library has re-opened its doors in a new location - and to celebrate the occasion, my mom was asked to provide a whopping 300 cookies for the event! After countless hours of baking and decorating (this is back-to-back from the 100 Navy cookies, mind you...), here's the end result. These came out sooooo unbelieveably cute for words. She did about 150 character cookies, and 150 book cookies. GREAT job, mom! You deserve one GIANT bottle of wine and a nice massage for all the work you've done over the past month.

The display - this is just half of the cookies!

Stacks of books (and bookworms!) I spent around 9 hours helping her write all the names of book titles on each of these.
Can you find your favorite book character?
We've got: Mike Mulligan and his Steam Shovel, Angelina Ballerina, Madeline, Captain Underpants, Lilly, Olivia, If you Give a Mouse a Cookie, Cat in the Hat, Babar, Where the Wild Things Are, and Peter Rabbit

Black Knights Navy Cookies

Did you know that i'm a proud sister of a Navy jet pilot? Now you do :)

Anyways, my brother's neighbor's wife (In California) was planning a welcome home party for her husband's homecoming from over seas, and she's had a taste of mom's delicious cookies, so naturally she asked my mom to do them for her.

Here are 100 cookies for a Navy squadron's homecoming - the Black Knights one five four to be exact. Since they are based in California, obviously they had to be shipped! (Did you know Sweets N Such ships cookies? Ask us for our shipping rates!)

1 - GIANT cookie (double chocolate chip) with fondant and royal icing details
2 - Navy wings of Gold
3 - "Welcome Home" jets - these are their actual planes (and don't ask me what their name is)

The planes, individually packaged, backed with cardboard, and ready to "fly" to CA!
